AI is sending me website rescue jobs

A weird part of my job now is fixing websites people built themselves with AI.

They come to me because the contact form’s stopped working. I open the site up and the whole chain of prompts is still sitting in there, with the answer written out in plain English. They just don’t know what Postmark is, or a POST request, so they can’t do anything with it.

I’m being paid to fix things that should never have been built in the first place.
