I started Genius Division with James Sheriff in 2010 — my other partner in crime, officially Managing Director — after we’d spent a few years freelancing together under the name Consumer. Rich Keys, Technical Director, makes three. We’re a team of seven now, and there’s a second company too — Better — that handles the website hosting and support side.
It’s the day job. The main thing. And the one that quietly pays for all the daft side projects on here.
We started with two grand in the bank and a deal: when we run out of money, we’ll quit. 16 years on, we’re still desperately trying to run out of money so we can go and get real jobs.
When we got our first office, I couldn’t be arsed putting a logo on the door, so I wrote it a sign instead. It’s still one of my favourite things I’ve ever written.
Every bit of client work — the case studies, the before-and-afters, the lot — lives over on the Genius Division site. This page is just me pointing at it.
